Sleeping Bay Groundsheet for the Atacama Expedition Tent
Atacama Expedition Tent, Sleeping Bay Groundsheet. Hooks directly beneath the inner tent/sleeping bay to protect the floor from abrasion and damage in rough terrains. Tent can also be used without the inner tent and just the sleeping bay foot print. Weighs 6oz.
We always recommend using a footprint, a custom-cut ground cloth designed specifically for the floor plan of your tent. Footprints extend the life of your tent floor, and in the morning they provide a clean surface where you can fold and roll your tent.
Our foot prints avoid having water collect between the tent floor and the footprint during rainy conditions, as it is custom fitted for the sleeping area.
The sleeping bay ground cloth and garage ground cloth for the Atacama Expedition Tent are two different, distinct cloths of different sizes to fit perfectly in each designated area. With "Sleep" imprinted directly on the sleeping bay area foot print there is no confusion as to which ground cloth belongs where. Ground cloths are optional and sold separately.
Our advice:
- If only a nonspecific ground cloth is all that is available, tuck any excess material under the tent floor . Any material that extends beyond the tent's perimeter will catch water and collect it

Ground sheet
The ground sheet has been really great. It keeps ground moisture out of the tent and helps to protect the sleeping bottom. We jave also found it helpfully when packing up the tent and use it at a guide for where to fold. Well worth having.

Atacama groundsheet/ sleeping
Works, attaches easy, my hi-cot doesn't sink, can be wet in the am depending on where you camp. Just be sure you dry everything out when you get home, like always. I have a 6ft x 8ft tarp I am going to try under the sleeping bay to keep the tent bottom dry and have a dry place to roll up the tent, then fold that up flat and put it in the bottom of my LARGE dry bag.

Groundsheet Sleep Bay
When you buy the Atacama tent be sure to buy the groundsheets. I bought the sleep bay and it kept moisture out of the tent. I didn't buy the other groundsheet which would have kept sand & debris from being tracked in; I'm ordering it now.

I have enjoyed motorcycle tent camping for many years. It was a difficult decision for me to make the move to a tent of such high quality. I am very a very conservative consumer, so when I made this purchase after looking at it for 4 years, understand that I was still nervous about, "have I made the right decision?" When it arrived at my door, I was so excited that I immediately did a box opening video. I then took it outside and set it up for the first time on video. Took me about 20 min the first time but the more I do it the easier it gets and the faster it goes. I've got set up time down to about ten minutes now. The groundsheets are all that they claim to be as well as the tent itself. The tent has enormous room and bike parking area. I have been thoroughly satisfied with the purchase of my redverz tent and I have all my camping friends wanting the same luxury as I have. Great purchase and I would not wait so long if I had to do it again.
