The Atacama's bathtub floor is waterproof. But without a groundsheet underneath, cold ground and moisture still transfer through — and that's where condensation starts, from below the floor, not above it.
This custom-fit groundsheet sits beneath the sleeping bay, between the tent floor and the ground. It breaks the cold transfer, dramatically reduces condensation inside the sleeping area, and protects the bathtub floor from abrasion on rough or rocky surfaces.
If you're using cots, it matters even more. Cot legs sit directly on the floor. Over time, on harder terrain, that contact wears through. This groundsheet takes that punishment instead.

I have enjoyed motorcycle tent camping for many years. It was a difficult decision for me to make the move to a tent of such high quality. I am very a very conservative consumer, so when I made this purchase after looking at it for 4 years, understand that I was still nervous about, "have I made the right decision?" When it arrived at my door, I was so excited that I immediately did a box opening video. I then took it outside and set it up for the first time on video. Took me about 20 min the first time but the more I do it the easier it gets and the faster it goes. I've got set up time down to about ten minutes now. The groundsheets are all that they claim to be as well as the tent itself. The tent has enormous room and bike parking area. I have been thoroughly satisfied with the purchase of my redverz tent and I have all my camping friends wanting the same luxury as I have. Great purchase and I would not wait so long if I had to do it again.

I have used the both the groundsheets 3 times now and I am very pleased with how they work. Same great construction as the tent. The garage sheet really saved the inside of the tent from getting muddy, and its great added insurance for a premium tent. They pack up nicely when you leave them attached or fold them up separate inside the tent bag.

Great accessory
Fits perfectly and the fastening system is much better than other tents I own...extremely easy on and off....not sure whether I will leave it attached when I pack up or not...next camping season will tell the tale....usually pack them separately because may be covered in mud and debris.

Worked exactly as it was supposed to.
I have had my Redverz Solo Expedition Tent for about 8 months. The first time I used the tent, the inside of the Garage got lots of moisture in it. I thought maybe it was just because we were near a stream. The second time I used it the same thing. So I decided to purchase the Garage Goundsheet. Used it the other day for my trip to Daytona for bike week. It performed exactly as advertised. No moisture on the inside of the garage even though it had rained for a few days before we arrived at the camp site. Also provided a dry floor to put gear on. I would recommend anyone purchasing the Redverz to also purchase the Garage Groundsheet.
